Warangal: To tackle the Sankranti festival rush and ensure smooth and safe travel for people travelling to their hometowns during the festive season, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) will run 660 special buses between Hanamkonda and Uppal.

According to Warangal region regional manager D Vijayabhanu, the newly introduced electric buses would also be run on the Uppal-Hanmakonda route for the convenience of passengers. For the convenience of passengers, special counters have been set up at all the main bus stations and supervisors have been appointed to direct the passengers.

Since there would be high rush of passengers from Uppal, tents, shamianas, and drinking water facilities have been provided there for the convenience of passengers, the regional manager said, adding that officers and staff would work round the clock to serve the passengers. Apart from this, special buses would be run from Hanamkonda to Kothakonda, Warangal to Inavolu, and from Jangaon to Komuravelli during the festival days for the convenience of devotees.
