Hyderabad: With Ganesh festivities commencing on Monday, the Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGSPDCL) has made extensive arrangements, including providing free electricity connections to Ganesh pandals, establishing special power supply arrangements, deploying emergency response teams and facilitating complaint registration through the 1912 call centre.
The TGSPDCL is implementing comprehensive measures to ensure uninterrupted power supply and robust electrical safety arrangements at Ganesh pandals across the State, TGSPDCL Chairman and Managing Director Jitesh V Patil said.
He visited the famous Khairatabad Bada Ganesh pandal on Sunday and personally inspected the electrical arrangements and safety measures. He interacted with representatives of the Ganesh Utsav Committee and enquired about power supply arrangements, backup systems and emergency response mechanisms.
Later, the CMD reviewed arrangements relating to distribution transformers (DTRs), alternate power supply systems and emergency backup facilities around the pandal premises. The entire power infrastructure would be monitored round-the-clock from the installation of the idol until the final immersion procession, while additional staff had been deployed wherever required, he said, according to a press release.
Officials were specifically directed to continuously monitor electrical lines, service connections and the distribution network in and around the pandal area.
Subsequently, the CMD also visited the Balapur Ganesh pandal and reviewed the electrical arrangements there. He interacted with Kallem Niranjan Reddy, president of the Balapur Ganesh Utsav Committee, and other committee members to understand local requirements and power supply arrangements for the festivities.
He assured them that all necessary measures had been taken to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply for devotees.
