Hyderabad: A TGSRTC bus driver was allegedly attacked by a group of unidentified youths at Karmanghat on Friday evening.

The incident occurred when the driver, Mohd Pasha, was operating an RTC bus travelling from Santoshnagar to Devarakonda. When the bus reached Karmanghat crossroads, some youths who had reportedly consumed alcohol near a wine shop stopped the bus and started an argument with the driver.

The argument soon turned violent, with the youths, allegedly in an inebriated condition, assaulting the driver. Commuters intervened and informed the local police.

The injured driver was shifted to a nearby private hospital for treatment. The case was booked and police are collecting details about the attackers to identify and nab them.
