Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has dismissed as false the reports circulating on social media claiming that the government has announced completely free bus travel for all differently-abled persons.

In an official statement, the RTC management clarified that no new government orders have been issued granting full free travel facility to all differently-abled passengers in TGSRTC buses. The viral posts making such claims are entirely baseless, it said.

The corporation warned that strict criminal action would be initiated against individuals spreading false information on social media and misleading citizens.

RTC urged citizens not to believe or share unverified news. It stated that any new policy decision would be officially communicated through a press release or published on the corporation’s official website.
