Hyderabad: With schools across the State reopening on Monday, after the summer break, the TGSRTC has geared up to ensure hassle-free transportation for students by operating adequate bus services and special school trips.
TGSRTC Managing Director Y Nagi Reddy has directed regional officials and depot managers to make necessary arrangements so that students do not face any commuting difficulties.
He instructed officials to align bus schedules with school timings, particularly in rural areas where a large number of students depend on public transport.
The Managing Director said transport facilities have been planned keeping in view the 227 working days in the new academic year. “All school routes operated in previous years are to be restored, while additional trips will be run wherever required to accommodate student demand,” he said.
Nagi Reddy also asked field-level staff to ensure strict adherence to schedules during morning and evening peak hours so that students can reach schools and return home safely and on time.
Regional and depot-level officers have been told to closely monitor operations and respond promptly to any transportation issues during the reopening period.
