Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) has introduced a Rs 600 weekly bus pass, allowing commuters to travel an unlimited number of times on city buses across the Greater Hyderabad region for seven consecutive days.

The pass covers all categories of city buses, including air-conditioned services, except Pushpak Airport Liner buses, the corporation clarified.

According to TGSRTC authorities, the new initiative aims to provide an affordable and convenient travel option for regular commuters, tourists and business visitors who need public transport for a week.

Passengers can avoid purchasing separate tickets for individual journeys during the pass’s validity period.

Officials said the weekly pass supplements the existing daily and monthly bus pass facilities, offering greater flexibility to those staying in Hyderabad for short periods or travelling to the city frequently.

The passes will be available at all city bus pass counters, and passengers can purchase them at their nearest counter.

TGSRTC Managing Director Y Nagi Reddy said the initiative was aimed at encouraging the use of public transport while providing more affordable and convenient commuting options.
