Karimnagar: TGSRTC JAC vice-chairman M Thomas Reddy called upon the workers to be ready for the strike scheduled to start from April 22. As part of the preparatory meeting, gate meetings were held in Karimnagar-I and II depots during the lunch hour here on Saturday.

Participating in the gate meetings, Thomas Reddy urged the workers to take part in the strike irrespective of unions and make it a big success. He advised workers not to bow down to pressure from the management.

The JAC leader demanded that the state government implement its promises made to RTC workers in the Congress party’s election manifesto immediately.

Demanding the merger of TGSRTC into the state government, he said the government should provide pay scales and job security to workers, besides taking up the new recruitment process. He also demanded that the government hand over the JBM (electric) buses to RTC.

JAC district chairman MP Reddy, vice-chairman K Komuraiah, Shankar Reddy, AITUC leader Sammaiah, Kalidas, B Maheshwar and others participated.
