TGSRTC launches innovative social initiative ‘Yatradanam’

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) has launched a social service initiative, ‘Yatradanam’, aimed at providing free travel to orphans, destitute senior citizens, differently abled individuals and poor students to pilgrimage centers, tourist destinations and excursion spots.
TGSRTC authorities said that as part of the scheme, individuals, families, corporate companies, NRIs, NGOs, associations, and public representatives can sponsor trips on their special occasions, such as birthdays, wedding anniversaries, or festivals, by donating to Yatradanam Fund. Based on the contribution, RTC will provide buses ranging from AC, Super Luxury, Deluxe, to Express services, covering popular temples and tourist destinations through special tour packages.
The initiative was inaugurated by Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar in the presence of TGSRTC Managing Director V C Sajjanar on Tuesday. Sajjanar stated that Yatradanam was the first-of-its-kind initiative in the country, combining social responsibility with cultural preservation.
For bookings, donors can approach local RTC depots or call 040-69440000 or 040-23450033 for assistance. Bookings should be made at least a week in advance.
