TGSRTC likely to hike bus pass fares by up to 20 percent from June 9

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) may revise its bus pass fares, with an expected 20% hike across all categories, including student passes. The new rates are likely to be implemented from June 9, pending official confirmation.

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) is likely to increase the bus pass fare of all the categories by nearly 20 per cent.

The increase in the fare is applicable to the ordinary and student bus passes as well.

According to the reports, while the ordinary bus pass fare is likely to be increased from Rs 1,150 to Rs 1,400, Metro Express pass is to be increased from Rs 1,300 to Rs 1,600 and Metro Deluxe bus pass to be increased from Rs 1,450 to Rs 1,800.

The new fares are expected to come in force from June 9.

The TGSRTC officials have yet to confirm it.
