Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation’s (TGSRTC) initiative to offer free Pushpak AC bus connectivity to passengers travelling from Hyderabad to Bengaluru has received an encouraging response, with daily bookings increasing by 60 to 70 tickets.
Under the scheme, passengers holding a valid TGSRTC Hyderabad-Bengaluru bus ticket can travel free on Pushpak AC buses operating on the RGIA route by producing their Bengaluru bus ticket.
To meet the rising demand, the RTC has also increased the number of boarding and drop-off points on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru route and planned additional services during peak hours.
Managing Director Y Nagireddy directed officials to operate extra buses in line with passenger demand.
He said the corporation remained committed to introducing passenger-friendly initiatives and expressed satisfaction over the positive response to the free Pushpak AC connectivity. He urged more commuters to avail themselves of the facility.
