Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) is developing a new digital platform, ‘MeeTicket’, through MeeSeva to bring multiple public transport services under a single platform.
The app is aimed at making commuting more convenient by integrating RTC buses, Metro services, autos and cabs.
Passengers will be able to book an RTC or Metro ticket and also arrange an auto or cab for the onward journey through the same platform.
The proposed system will also facilitate seamless digital payments, with fares automatically transferred to the respective transport service providers or partners.
According to TGSRTC, the platform will allow auto and cab drivers and other transport operators to join as partners and directly offer services to passengers. Users can select their preferred mode of transport and manage their journey through a single digital interface.
Meanwhile, TGSRTC has clarified reports suggesting that the corporation plans to purchase and operate its own autos. The management said there is no such proposal, either currently or in the future.
The corporation urged passengers and auto drivers not to believe reports or social media claims that TGSRTC would directly operate an auto fleet.
