Thalapathy Vijay’s “Jana Nayagan” seals it’s release date

There has been speculation that "Jana Nayagan" is a remake of the Telugu film 'Bhagavanth Kesari,' as mentioned by actor VTV Ganesh.

Hyderabad: Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming film “Jana Nayagan” is set to release on January 9, 2026, as a Pongal festival treat. This will be Vijay’s last film before he enters politics.

There has been speculation that “Jana Nayagan” is a remake of the Telugu film ‘Bhagavanth Kesari,’ as mentioned by actor VTV Ganesh. However, the filmmakers have not confirmed this and the released posters do not indicate any connection to the Telugu film, keeping the storyline under wraps which is generating high-anticipation for the film.

Directed by H Vinoth, the film is produced by K Venkat Narayan under the KVN Productions banner. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music and Pooja Hegde plays the female lead.
