HYDERABAD: Thanuja Kameshwar and Sravan Katravath of the Telangana Sailing Association claimed the title in the 420 mixed category of the YAI Tiscon Youth Open Regatta championship at Hussain Sagar Lake on Tuesday.
Samriddhi Batham and Parth Singh Chouhan, and Eklavya Batham and Vanshika Sikarwar — both pairs from the National Sailing School — finished second and third respectively.
In the Optimist Main Fleet, Sk. Rameeza Bhanu of Telangana Sailing Association topped the girls section, while Mohammad Rizwan of Naval Youth Sailing Club emerged winner in the boys category.
The Governor of Telangana, Mr. Jishnu Dev Varma, graced the valedictory function along with Lt. Gen. Neeraj Varshney, VSM, Commandant, MCEME; Mr. Arjun Pradipak, Commodore (Sailing); Capt. Jitendra Dixit, Secretary, Yachting Association of India (YAI); Mr. Srinivas Kylasa, President, Secunderabad Club; Mr. Ashwin Nandan Singh, Vice-President, Secunderabad Club; and Mr. Raja Jain of Tiscon.
