Hyderabad: Politics can be relegated to the back burner when it comes to the interests of the nation and policymaking, said IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao.
In a reply to a tweet by Parliamentarian Shashi Tharoor, who chaired the Parliament Standing Committee on IT that toured Hyderabad to study the best practices and industry enablers brought in by Telangana, the Minister further said, “Happy to meet and contribute to the IT Standing Committee under your chairmanship”.
Earlier, Tharoor had tweeted: “Hugely impressive presentation by @KTRTRS and his team. I said that as with foreign policy, we need to look beyond political divides on IT Policy. If @ministerktr is setting an example in Telangana that the rest of us can benefit from, we can all gain from a forward-looking IT policy”.
The IT and Industries Minister on Wednesday highlighted the Telangana State’s IT ecosystem and IT initiatives taken up by the Government of Telangana to the Standing Committee on IT.
“Greatly enjoyed discussing IT-related issues ranging from cyber security to data protection, and taking in the need for semi-conductor fabrication and the 3i’s of infrastructure, innovation, and inclusion with@MinisterKTR @ktrtrs and his officials,” said another tweet from Tharoor.
