Hyderabad: Telangana Tourism, in partnership with Royal Enfield hosted a bespoke, curated ride trail around heritage sites of Telangana from December 17 to December 19. The tour titled ‘Classic 350 Heritage Trails’ aimed to bring out the vivid cultural diversity in the State whilst exploring the rideability of the new Royal Enfield Classic 350 Reborn.

The curated ride which lasted over the course of three days, covering over 750 km across Telangana was one of the most beautiful rides, as we rode through the scenic Telangana villages on our way to the historically rich and beautiful heritage sites of Telangana.

Elgandla Fort

Starting from the iconic Charminar in Hyderabad, we rode to Golconda, Pragnapur, Quillagadda Fort and Kondagattu on day 1, followed by Elagandla Fort, Pandavula Gutta and Ramappa Temple on day 2. The final leg of the ride on day 3 began from Ramappa Temple to Warangal Fort via Laknavaram, culminating at Hyderabad.

The three-day ride, with the initiative #LeaveEveryPlaceBetter ensured that all the riders avoided the usage of single-use plastic by using sustainable bottles and other necessary items, promoting eco-friendly rides and keeping the heritage sites of the State clean by not littering plastic around them.

Making the ride better and extremely smooth were the amazingly built roads of Telangana which gave us a sense of security, throughout the 3 days. The high quality of roads in the State, the well-built Royal Enfield Classic 350 Reborn with its smooth, efficient and reliable engines made sure that the riders rode across Telangana with utmost comfort.

Haritha Resorts run by Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation played the perfect hosts with cosy rooms and mind blowing views and not to forget, the lip-smacking local Telangana food and efficient service.

Representing Telangana Today for promoting the Heritage of the State and by travelling on the Royal Enfield Classic 350, I rode alongside some of the best riders from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The lineup of riders included Rohith Kumar of Royal Enfield (curator and lead of the ride), Santosh Kumar, RE Technician, Motovloggers/Youtubers Mamidi Kishore Kumar (Kishore The Rider), Vijay Goud (Ride with Vj), Leela Mohan Thota (Neelu Arts), Sandeep Kumar Uppalapati (Telugu Travel Vlogger), Raju Kanneboina (Raju Kanneboina), Anil Sulake (Anil Motovlogs) and Ravi Kiran Kasturi (Ravikiran Kasturi).

A special shout out has to be given to all the riders for taking precautionary measures, wearing full safety gear while riding at all times throughout the ride. This effort not only promoted the heritage of Telangana and the legacy of Royal Enfield, but also helped educate scores of young riders across the State to learn the importance of safe ride and discipline. To those who have seen us ride, met us or interacted with us during the ride and to those who are reading this piece – Keep the rubber side down!
