JK Rowling was born in 1955, in Yute, Gloucestershire. A woman of strong philosophies, she conceived the idea of Harry Potter on a delayed train in 1990. The seven-year period which followed was particularly hard, but these hardships helped her develop the much-loved character of Harry Potter.
After publishing her first book in 1997, there was no stopping her as she published the six following sequels, the last one of the series in 2007. No one will believe that her script was rejected by 12 different publishers. But she took her chances and continued her pursuit of getting published. Finally, Bloomsbury Publishers accepted her script.
She has lived rags to riches life, from living on benefits to being a billionaire, JK Rowling is also a charitable woman who donated her wealth to charities indicating her outlook on life itself. She is a visionary to many other writers as she also publishes crime fiction through another pseudonym of Robert Galbraith.
Her journey through the world of books was a whirlwind and her strong mental constitution has helped her overcome the many difficulties in the journey, as a single parent and a divorced mother she had many reasons to stop, but her pursuit has brought us the welcome and globally known character of Harry Potter.
