The first lyrical video Kolu Kolu in the upcoming period drama Virata Parvam has come as a treat for fans. The lyrical video shows glimpses of the female lead Sai Pallavi as a happy-go-lucky girl. Fans have been waiting for the movie’s update and the song came as succour to them.
In the poster released along with the song, Sai Pallavi is clad in a simple traditional turmeric yellow lehenga and red half-sari, sporting a happy smile on her face. She looks every bit like a simple village girl full of dreams.
The actor, who made her Telugu debut with Sekhar Kammula’s Fidaa, has cemented a place in the hearts of Telugu audiences as she went on to do some memorable flicks such as Middle Class Abbayi, and Padi Padi Leche Manasu. This season, the actor has three big releases in Telugu — Love Story and Shyam Singha Roy, apart from Virata Parvam.
Coming to Virata Parvam, she is playing the role of Vennela in the movie while Rana Daggubati will be seen as Dr Ravi Shankar alias comrade Ravanna. Every character in the film has its own importance and first-look posters of all the lead actors suggest that the movie is based on the Naxal movement that had happened in the ’90s.
Rana’s first-look poster is also an attention-grabbing one. Unlike posters of regular commercial flicks, these thematic posters have a sepia-toned look. The movie has a big cast like Priyamani who is playing comrade Bharathakka, Nandita Das, Naveen Chandra and Sai Chand in crucial roles. It is learnt that director Venu Udugula has penned the story from the events he witnessed from his childhood in Warangal’s hinterland.
D Suresh Babu is presenting the film and Sudhakar Cherukuri of SLV Cinemas is bankrolling it. Other actors include Zareena Wahab, Easwari Rao, Banerjee, Nagineedu, Rahul Ramakrishna, Devi Prasad, Anand Ravi, and Anand Chakrapani in key roles in the film that has music by Suresh Bobbili.
