Hyderabad: Unidentified persons broke into a house and decamped with about Rs 15 lakh and 1kg of gold ornaments at Telecom Nagar in Gachibowli, police said on Monday. Police suspect the role of a couple working as domestic helps from Nepal behind the crime.
According to the police, the suspected couple identified as Laxman and Pavithra joined work as a watchman and domestic help four months ago at the house of Govind Patel. Recently, Govind went on a pilgrimage to Srisailam in Andhra Pradesh with his family, leaving the couple at home. When he returned, the two were missing and the valuables were missing from the almirah. The Raidurgam police are investigating.
