Hyderabad: Thirty more Telangana students have returned to New Delhi from Ukraine on Wednesday.
Amid intense bombing from Russian forces in Ukraine besides freezing cold weather conditions, these students braving all odds crossed over to Romania from the Ukrainian border with assistance from the Indian Embassy. They were evacuated on a special flight from Bucharest in Romania.
On landing at the New Delhi airport, students were received by Telangana government officials and later they were taken to the Telangana Bhavan. They were provided accommodation and food besides free air tickets to reach Hyderabad.
“They will reach Hyderabad in the evening,” a Telangana Bhavan official said.
With the arrival of 30 students on Wednesday, so far 97 students from Telangana who were pursuing various courses in Ukrainian universities have returned home.
