Hyderabad: Quite often, kids are asked to write poems or short phrases about their parents. Well, many a time, the innocent ones also reveal some inside secrets of the family through these exercises. But this five-year-old has been so brutally honest about her dad in the poem, that it will surely leave you in splits.
In the poem, the girl hilariously describes the physical traits of her father – lazy, with a big belly and smelly. The tiny one also uses a perfect rhyming which left the netizens surprised.
Check out the cute poem:
“My dad is called Frazer; he never uses a razor.
He has a beard and he is really weird.
My dad is really small and his head is like a ball.
His ears are big and I think he needs a wig.
My dad is crazy and in the mornings he is lazy.
He has a big belly and is very smelly.”
However, in the end, as an icing on the cake, the kid wrote:
“I love my dad, he’s a lovely lad.”
The poem, which was shared on Facebook by the girl’s mother, has gone viral among netizens now. Sharing the picture of the piece of paper, the girl’s mother said that it was “too good not to share.”
However, the poem also left many in surprise as to the language and perfect spelling that the five-year-old used was quite unusual for her age.
“Five year old using an apostrophe, and correctly?! All words, including tricky, spelt correctly (and not phonetically)! Clearly, a genius!” wrote a user.
Another said, “Not enough spelling mistakes for a five year old… suspicious.”
However, to clear the air, the girl’s mother wrote saying the kid was helped with spellings. “Of course she had help with spelling…. She’s 5! Lol,” she wrote.
Well, we really wonder what the father’s reaction would have been after reading the poem. What do you think?
