In an exclusive conversation with Telangana Today, Sreenivas opened up about the journey of Bhairavam, the love it has garnered, and the road ahead.
“I’m truly overwhelmed by the love and applause Bhairavam has received from both the audience and critics,” Sreenivas shared. “It’s been a very special film for me, one that will always stay close to my heart.”
The film sees Sreenivas portraying the role of Seenu, a character that begins as a loyal, innocent friend but takes an unexpected turn as the story progresses. His nuanced transformation in the film has earned widespread appreciation. “I think the audience connected with the honesty in Seenu’s character. There’s something very real and emotional about his journey,” he reflected.
Sreenivas, known for portraying diverse roles—from the kind-hearted Raghuram in Sita, to the intense cop in Rakshasudu, to the romantic Gagan in Jaya Janaki Nayaka, believes that Bhairavam marks an important turning point in his career. “This film changed how people see me as an actor,” he noted. “I think they now trust me with more layered and emotionally complex characters.”
He was also quick to acknowledge the team behind the film. “The director brought out something raw and real in me, and I’m grateful for that experience,” he added.
As for what’s next, Sreenivas is even more thrilled about what’s to come. “August will be a special month for me,” he revealed. “It’s coming with the official announcement of my next project and the release of another project in the same month. We’re aiming for something even bigger and better, a film that brings a completely new and memorable experience to the audience.”
Looking forward, Sreenivas emphasised his commitment to genuine storytelling. “Each film will be a new journey, honest, original, and rooted in emotion,” he concluded.
