Hyderabad: A bite of samosa from our nearby halwai is always the best part of the evenings. The increasing love for it from every bite from the top of the conical end of the samosa to the end of the crunchy crust, it is surely a delicious delight.
Well, it was this same craving that dwelled into a man called Nitin Misra. However, he was left a little surprised to see that the plate of samosa that came to him consisted of some numbers punched onto the crust.
He shared the photo of the same on his Twitter page. “Samosas I ordered had serial numbers. Can tech pls stay away from my halwai(sic),” said his caption.
As Nitin posted about the samosas having a serial number, many thought it was very unusual for food items to be numbered like that.
However, a few other netizens commented explaining how this is a common practice. A user also stated that it is a method followed by a popular eatery named ‘Samosa Party’.
“These samosas are from the Samosa Party,” one user stated.
Netizens found it to be a very strange practice. “Funny and strange at the same time. I will not eat those series nos,” a user quipped. Another user reasoned, “Ya maybe the halwai ka helper keeps stealing them… So they have to put numbers… (sic)”
Some even began guessing what other food items would be numbered similarly. “This is scary – next what rasgulla with QR code 🙁 🙁 ,” a user wrote, to which, Nitin Misra jokingly replied if a rasgulla came with a QR code, he would surely NFT that.
So, what are your thoughts about food items coming with a code?
