Thousands attend Jumaath-ul-Vida prayers at Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad
Thousands of Muslims gathered at Mecca Masjid and other mosques across Hyderabad to offer Jumaath-ul-Vida prayers. Authorities deployed heavy security and implemented traffic diversions to manage large crowds during the last Friday of Ramzan.
Hyderabad: Thousands of Muslims attended the Jumaath-ul-Vida, the last Friday of Ramzan, prayers at the Mecca Masjid in the city on Friday afternoon.
Dressed in the customary attire, large numbers of Muslims assembled at the historic mosque since morning and attended the congregational prayers. Also, a sizeable number of women offered the prayers at the Government Nizamia Tibbi College and Hospital campus opposite the Mecca Masjid. After the prayers, the Youmul Quran program was organized by the All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen party.

Personnel of Rapid Action Force, City Armed Reserve, TGSP, and civil police were deployed to ensure peace. The traffic police had made certain vehicular diversions to avoid traffic issues during the prayers.
Big prayer gatherings were seen at prominent mosques at Musheerabad, Mehdipatnam, Public Gardens, Khairatabad and Secunderabad.
