Three AAP workers killed as car plunges into pond in Ludhiana

Ludhiana: Three Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers were killed when their car plunged into a pond on the Raikot-Jagraon road in Punjab’s Ludhiana district, police said on Thursday. The driver lost control of the car in the early hours of Thursday and the vehicle plunged into the pond. Five people were in the car at the time of the accident. While two escaped with injuries, three died on the spot, the police said.
The deceased have been identified as Balkar Singh, Vishal and Sandeep. They were coming back from Nakodar after visiting a religious place there. The police have taken the bodies into custody and kept them at the Government Hospital, Jagraon, for post-mortem.
