Three arrested for lifting bikes, stealing mobile phones in Adilabad

Adilabad police have arrested three men, including a notorious burglar from Hyderabad, for stealing motorcycles and mobile phones. Eleven phones and two bikes were recovered, and one accused confessed to transferring money from stolen devices.

Adilabad: Three persons including a notorious burglar from Hyderabad were arrested on charges of lifting motorbikes and stealing mobile phones. Two motorcycles and eleven mobile phones were recovered from them.

Briefing details of the arrests to media persons, DSP Jeevan Reddy said that Vaddepalli Antharam Ramesh and Mangi Chandrashekhar Reddy, both from Hyderabad and Shaik Allauddin of Gudihathnoor were apprehended for their role in lifting a scooter and mobile phone belonging to an owner of a hardware shop in Adilabad town recently.

During interrogations, the trio confessed to committing the crime by targeting customers in commercial establishments and auto-rickshaw drivers. Ramesh admitted to transferring funds from stolen mobile phones and utilizing them for personal needs. Police said that Ramesh was booked for his involvement in nine offences.
