Hyderabad: Three persons were arrested by the Chilkalguda police for allegedly attacking a man with a knife on Saturday night.
The arrested persons are identified as Mohammed Nawaz (22), Shaik Saber (23) and Shareef Khan (24), all residents of Warasiguda in Secunderabad.
Additional Commissioner of Police, DS Chauhan said, the victim Manipadi Santosh Kumar (25) a resident of Keesara mandal was standing near a medical store at Ambernagar in Chilkalguda on Saturday night, when the suspect Nawaz came to the spot.
Santosh previously stayed at Warasiguda, and shifted the house a few years ago while Nawaz still stays in the same neighbourhood. Three years ago, when Nawaz was beating children, Santosh questioned his behavior following which an argument took place between them. Since the incident, both of them quarrelled with each other whenever they came across to each other.
“On Saturday, on spotting Santosh in the Ambernagar, Nawaz along with his two associates confronted him again and an argument ensued. Using a knife, he stabbed the victim resulting in bleeding injuries,” said the official.
On a complaint, the police booked a case under Section 307 (murder attempt) r/w 34 of IPC and arrested the three persons. Nawaz was previously arrested for his involvement in property offences.
