Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Police with the help of the West Bengal police arrested three youngsters on charges of stealing mobile phones and accessories worth Rs 3 lakh. Police recovered 26 mobile phones and accessories from them.
The arrested were identified as Mohd Muslim Sheik (23), a mason, Mohd Jasimuddin Sheik (19), labour and Rafiq-ul-Sheik (19), labour, all residents of LB Nagar and natives of Malda in West Bengal. According to the police, Muslim Sheik came to Hyderabad two months ago and was working at a construction site at Sagar Ring Road in LB Nagar. He met the other two and they together broke into the True Value wholesale mobile store at LB Nagar by drilling a hole to the wall.
“They stole 26 mobile phones and other phone accessories and fled,” said Mahesh Bhagwat, Police Commissioner, Rachakonda. On receiving a complaint, the Central Crime Station police along with the LB Nagar police identified them, after which a police team went to Kolkata. They tracked down the suspects and caught them from a train at Kharagpur with help of the Government Railway Police Kharagpur, Bhagwat said. The suspects were brought to Hyderabad and produced before a court here.
