Three arrested in Hyderabad for cheating gold businessmen

Nallakunta police arrested three persons, including Abbas Ali Sheikh, for cheating gold businessmen in Hyderabad. They collected 1,906 grams of 22-carat gold from Durga Bhavani Bullion Pvt Ltd on the pretext of making ornaments and sold it for personal gains

Hyderabad: Three persons who cheated gold businessmen in the city were arrested by the Nallakunta police on Monday.

The arrested are Abbas Ali Sheikh (46), a goldsmith, Razzak Shaik, and Ramij Sheikh (24).


According to the police, the trio, on the pretext of making gold ornaments, collected 1,906 grams of 22-carat gold from Durga Bhavani Bullion Private Limited and sold it to some persons. “Using the money received after selling the gold, Abbas paid salaries to his employees and purchased some costly stones for the business,” said Osmania University ACP G Jagan.
