Three arrested in Hyderabad for MDMA peddling

Hyderabad: The Chandanagar Police, along with the Cyberabad Special Operations Team (SOT), arrested three alleged MDMA peddlers and seized 15 grams of the synthetic drug on Sunday.
The arrested persons are Devra Harish (28), Kunchala Sai Krishna (28) and Gunji Sai Manikanta (24). Another suspect, Arun from Bengaluru, is absconding.
Police said Harish, who became addicted to drugs while visiting his cousins in Bengaluru, conspired with his friends to procure MDMA for resale in Hyderabad.
The trio reportedly pooled Rs 10,000 each and sent Harish to source the substance from Arun. Harish returned with 15 grams of MDMA after a two-day stay.
The trio was caught while attempting to sell the drug at Rs 10,000 per gram. Police seized the contraband along with three mobile phones.
