Three burglars held for Rs 3.5 lakh theft in Jeedimetla, cash and phone recovered
Jeedimetla police arrested three men, including a milk vendor, for stealing ₹3.5 lakh and a mobile phone from a house in SR Naik Nagar Colony. The trio was caught during vehicle checks and ₹2.1 lakh and a phone were recovered.
Hyderabad: The Jeedimetla police on Monday have arrested three burglars who are involved the theft of Rs 3.5 lakh cash and mobile phones from a house in SR Naik Nagar Colony early this month.
The arrested persons are Mohd Asif, the prime suspect and a milk vendor and his friends Mohd Asif and Mohd Ameer.
According to P Naresh Reddy ACP, Balanagar, Asif, who was working at the complainant Sangamesh’s milk distribution centre was aware of the business money being kept in his house.
He conspired to steal the cash and shared the plot with his friends, who agreed to support him.
As per their plan, on July 2 midnight, they broke into Sangamesh’s house in his absence and decamped with cash of Rs 3.5 lakh and his mobile phone.
Based on a complaint, the Jeedimetla police booked a case and nabbed the trio at Shapurnagar during a vehicle checking and they confessed their involvement in the burglary.
Police recovered cash of Rs 2.1 lakh and a mobile phone from them.
