Three-day long annual police sports meet begins in Adilabad

Adilabad: A three-day long annual police sports meet meant for recreation of police personnel began in Adilabad on Thursday. Collector Rajarshi Shah, accompanied by Superintendent of Police Gaush Alam formally inaugurated the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Shah opined that one could achieve mental and physical fitness with the help of sports. He told the participants to take both victory and defeat sportively. He along with Gaush entertained the audience by playing a volleyball and cricket match for a while.
Gaush said that the meet would help the police personnel, who were busy with patrolling, bandobust, crime detections and many other tasks every day find relief, while improving their performance and coordination, harmony among them. He stated that participants could create memories by taking part in the meet. He added that volleyball, cricket, kabaddi, badminton, athletics and carrom competitions were being organized.
Utnoor ASP Kajal, Additional SP Surender Rao, DSPs Jeevan Reddy, P Srinivas, Hasibullah Khan and others were present.
