Three drug case suspects held in Rajasthan, brought back to Telangana

Telangana’s EAGLE Force and Rajasthan ANTF apprehended three suspects wanted in separate narcotics cases and brought them back to Telangana. The suspects are linked to cases involving heroin, MDMA and opium, while investigations continue to trace alleged interstate drug suppliers.

HYDERABAD: Telangana’s Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE Force), in coordination with the Rajasthan ANTF (Anti-Narcotics Task Force), apprehended three wanted suspects in narcotics cases registered in Telangana and brought them back to the State from Rajasthan for further legal proceedings.

The operation was carried out under the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two State anti-narcotics units for sharing intelligence and assisting in interstate investigations. Acting on information provided by Telangana Police, the Rajasthan ANTF tracked down the three suspects, said Sandeep Shandilya, Director, EAGLE Force.

The official said that investigations into drug cases in Hyderabad have revealed links to alleged suppliers and handlers operating from Rajasthan. He said narcotics networks were being pursued beyond Telangana to identify those allegedly supplying substances such as heroin, MDMA and opium to contacts in Hyderabad.

The arrested suspects were identified as Jaykishan (28) of Rajasthan, wanted in cases registered at Meerpet and Petbasheerabad police stations involving heroin and MDMA; Suresh (30) of Melap in Pali district, wanted in a Raidurgam police station case involving heroin; and Dinesh Kumar alias Dinesh Bhai (31) of Deora in Jalore district, wanted in an HNPS case involving the seizure of 3.259 kg of opium.

Officials said identity verification by EAGLE Force’s technical team and Hyderabad Narcotics Police Station was crucial to the operation. Coordination with district police officers and Rajasthan ANTF facilitated the interstate arrests, the official added.
