Hyderabad: Three persons including a person who purchased stolen property were arrested by the City Police for their alleged involvement in burglaries in the city.

The arrested persons were identified as Sangat Singh Ajmer Singh Kalyani (38), Akshay Popat Adule (26) and Vikram Singh (29) all natives of Pune. City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said the prime suspect Sangat Singh moved along with his associates in localities and after identifying the houses would break into them to steal gold, cash and other valuables.


“Sangat Singh is an expert in breaking locks. Whenever arrested by the police, he has formed a new gang to resume the activity after coming out from jail,” said Anjani Kumar.

In Hyderabad, he was involved in four cases registered in Marredpally, Kachiguda and Amberpet police station limits. Singh was selling the stolen ornaments to Vikram Singh in Pune.

The police recovered property worth Rs. 10 lakh including 176 grams of gold, two kilograms of silver, five mobile phones and a motorcycle.

Motorcycle lifter caught

Hyderabad: A motorcycle lifter involved in nine cases was arrested by the Falaknuma police on Monday. The police recovered nine motorcycles stolen from various police stations areas of the city from him.

The arrested person Mujeeb Khan alias Mujeeb, a resident of Achi Reddynagar in Falaknuma, was involved in seven theft cases in the Falaknuma police station limits and one each in the LB Nagar and Mailardevpally station limits. On a complaint from one V Naveen whose bike was stolen on July 27, the police had booked a case and after identifying Mujeeb with the help of CCTV cameras, caught him on Friday night. He was produced before court.
