Three from Suryapet held for duping man using fake female voice
Adilabad police arrested three persons from Suryapet district for duping a man of Rs 8 lakh by mimicking a woman’s voice and posing as her on a matrimonial site. The accused were caught within two days of the complaint

Adilabad: Three persons from Suryapet district were arrested on Monday for allegedly duping people by mimicking the voice of girls. Police seized Rs 1.5 lakh in cash and three mobile phones from their possession.
Adilabad DSP L Jeevan Reddy said that Maloji Manji alias Krishnaveni, Bukya Ganesh and Rupavath Shravan Kumar, all residents of Ramachandrapuram in Suryapet district, were taken into custody for cheating a man from Adilabad town by posing as a girl.
Manji confessed to cheating the victim of Rs 8 lakh after contacting him through a matrimonial website. He impersonated a woman from an affluent family and convinced the victim to transfer money in phases, citing court cases and business requirements. The accused even lured the victim with promises of managing her jewellery stores.
Reddy said police traced and arrested the accused within two days of receiving the complaint.
