Three held for smuggling spurious detergent in Adilabad
Adilabad police arrested three men for transporting spurious detergent to Maharashtra and seized 15 quintals of the material worth Rs 1 lakh. The trio, including two from Chandrapur and one from Adilabad, reportedly sourced the fake detergent from Amaravathi.

Adilabad: Police arrested three persons for transporting spurious detergent to Maharashtra and seized 15 quintals of the material worth Rs. 1 lakh on Sunday. One more accused remains at large.
DSP L Jeevan Reddy said the arrested individuals have been identified as Shivaji N Jawale and Ramrao Ingale, both from Chandrapur in Maharashtra, and Rupesh Agarwal of Adilabad.
They were caught while transporting the detergent from Adilabad to Maharashtra, following a tip-off while the third accused Apsak Salath of Amaravathi is still at large. The arrested persons reportedly confessed to procuring the fake detergent from Amaravathi and attempting to smuggle it into Maharashtra for profit., the police officer added.
Adilabad II Town Inspector K Nagaraju, Sub-Inspector Vishnu Prakash and police staff took part in the operation.
In another news, two persons were killed in a road accident at Bidar Crossroads near Zaheerabad town on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Venkat (32) and Sai (28), both residents of Mahindra Colony in Zaheerabad. Zaheerabad Rural Inspector Shivalingaiah, along with his team, reached the spot and shifted the bodies to the local government hospital. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
