Three held for trafficking two women from Bejjur to Madhya Pradesh
Police in Kumram Bheem Asifabad arrested three persons, including a woman, for trafficking two women from Bejjur to Madhya Pradesh. The accused allegedly lured victims with marriage promises and sold them. The victims’ parents had filed missing complaints.

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Three persons, including a woman, were arrested for allegedly selling two women from Bejjur to men in Madhya Pradesh. They were produced before media persons at the Koutala mandal headquarters on Friday. Police seized three mobile phones from the accused.
Police identified the accused as Mudimadugula Prashanth alias Bablu and his wife Savitha, both from Kishtampet in Chennur, and Mahesh from Sironcha in Maharashtra. They were apprehended for their role in trafficking two women to men from Atreyapuram in Madhya Pradesh. The accused were detained after the parents of the victims lodged a missing complaint in September.
During interrogation, Prashanth and Mahesh confessed to committing the offence to make quick money, with the assistance of Savitha. They admitted to selling the women to men by luring them with promises of arranging marriage alliances.
