Three held in Hyderabad for illegal firecracker manufacture and storing

The Rajendranagar Task Force arrested three persons in separate raids at Attapur and Mailardevpally for allegedly manufacturing, storing and selling firecrackers without a licence or adequate safety measures. Police seized loose firecrackers, powders and seven cartons during the operations.

Hyderabad: The Task Force (Rajendranagar) arrested three persons in two separate raids at Attapur and Mailardevpally for allegedly manufacturing, storing and selling firecrackers without a licence or adequate safety measures.

The arrested persons were identified as Zareena Sulthana (60) and Mohammed Azhar (36), both from Attapur, and Hafeez Meghani (46), a wholesale firecracker trader from Upperpally.

Police seized four bags of loose firecrackers, around 500 grams each of firecracker powder and potassium powder from Attapur, and seven cartons of firecrackers during the raid at Mailardevpally.
