Hyderabad: The Central Zone Task Force nabbed three persons on charges of illegally selling Amphotericin B Liposome injections at Necklace Road here on Monday.

They were selling the injection for Rs 50,000 each. Officials seized 35 injection vials from them. The arrested persons were identified as K Kranthi Kumar (35), a medical shop owner from Kukatpally, N Venkat Dinesh (28), a medicine supplier from Vivekananda Colony in Kukatpally and Srinivas (50), a pharmacy owner from Balanagar.

“All the suspects were into medical business or were either medical representatives or healthcare professionals. They used this to target gullible people who are in need of Amphotericin B liposome injection for their family members and further sold it between Rs 35,000 and Rs 50,000,” Hyderabad Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar said, adding that following a tip-off, the police laid a trap and nabbed the gang while trying to sell the injections to customers at Necklace Road.
