Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force (central) team caught three persons who were found selling swords illegally on Sunday. The police seized 87 swords and six daggers from them.
Acting on a tip off, a police team under the supervision of MA Jaweed, Inspector Task Force (central) team caught three persons including one Raj Kumar owner of Mahaveer Gifts and Novelties and seized weapons from them at Basheerbagh where they had gone to sell. On his information, the team then raided the shop at Siddiamber Bazaar.
“The owner Raj Kumar, along with his assistants Syed Khaleel and Ankith Lal alias Sonu were selling the swords for a price between Rs 1,200 and Rs 3,000 each. To get more business Sonu kept the pictures of the swords on his WhatsApp status,” said MA Jaweed, Inspector TF (central) team.
The three persons along with the property were handed over to the Saifabad police station for further action.
