Three held in Hyderabad mobile phone snatching case; 10 phones recovered
Hyderabad police arrested three persons involved in a mobile phone snatching case and recovered 10 stolen phones and a two-wheeler. The gang allegedly targeted victims, especially elderly persons, while one more accused remains absconding.
Hyderabad: The Kanchanbagh police on Monday arrested three persons in connection with a mobile phone snatching case and recovered 10 stolen mobile phones along with a two-wheeler.
The case was registered following a complaint by Syed Nazeer Ahmed, who was allegedly robbed of his mobile phone by two bike-borne offenders near DMRL X Road on April 15.
The arrested suspei have been identified as A Naresh, B Arun Kumar and M Chiranjeevi, all of whom are reportedly habitual offenders involved in multiple theft cases.
Police said the gang targeted unsuspecting victims, especially elderly persons, and executed snatchings with the help of accomplices.
One more suspect is currently absconding, and efforts are on to trace him.
