Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force, along with Masab Tank police, on Tuesday caught three persons who were allegedly in possession of a country-made weapon illegally. The police seized a pistol, 18 live rounds, two empty magazines, a car, three mobile phones and a hockey stick from them.
Those apprehended are Mohd Afroz Baig alias Shakeel (46), proprietor of MAB Projects and a resident of MLA Colony, Masab Tank; Teljeri Balakrishna (30) of Boduppal; and Bittu Kumar (30), who works at a milk shop and is a native of Bihar.
According to the police, Shakeel is into real estate activity and Balakrishna worked with him. A few days ago, Shakeel and Balakrishna, with the help of Bittu Kumar, procured a country-made pistol and kept it with them. “Whenever any individual demanded money that they had invested in the business, Shakeel would threaten them with the weapon,” said Ande Srinivasa Rao, Additional DCP, Task Force.
On information, the Task Force laid a trap and caught them.
