Hyderabad: Three individuals died by suicide in separate incidents in the city during the early hours of Monday and Sunday night.
In the first case, a 25-year-old man, Yousuf Bin Shaha, a resident of GM Colony, Chandrayangutta, hanged himself at a house in Tadlakunta on Monday morning. According to the police, Yousuf had returned from Australia nearly a month ago and was staying with his parents at their house in GM Colony.
On Monday morning, Yousuf left the house, and an hour later, a painter who came to work at the family-owned house in Tadlakunta found Yousuf hanging. The man’s family members told the police that Yousuf seemed depressed after his return from Australia and might have taken his life as a result. A case has been registered by the Chandrayangutta police.
In another case at Vanasthalipuram, a mason, M Maniyam Konda, aged 30, a resident of Sahebnagar, died by suicide following an argument with his wife on Sunday evening regarding the purchase of construction material for his under-construction house. A case has been registered.
In the third case, a woman, Abbas Bibi, aged 21, a resident of Sahebnagar in LB Nagar, lived with her husband, Mohd Akbar. On Saturday, Akbar scolded his wife for using her mobile phone during the night. In a fit of rage, Bibi went into the kitchen and consumed poisonous substances. Upon noticing, her husband rushed her to a hospital, where she died while undergoing treatment on Sunday night, according to LB Nagar police.
