Sangareddy: In a tragic incident, a Lambada couple, who set out from home on Wednesday night leaving behind their three children at home to cover their harvested jowar crop with taurpalin, died when lightning struck them at Manur Tanda in Manoor Mandal of Sangareddy district. The victims were identified as Kishan Nayak (45) and Komini Bai (39).

Neighboring farmers who came to their fields on Thursday found the couple dead on a heap of jowar crop in their farm. The entire village was plunged in sorrow as the three children – two sons and one daughter – were orphaned by a single stroke of lightning. The police have registered a case and investigation is on.
