Hyderabad: Three persons died on the spot after the motorcycle they were traveling on crashed into a loaded truck at Choutuppal on the city outskirts here on Saturday morning.
The victims were identified as M. Harish (22), a resident of Choutuppal, Mohd Salman (24) and Mohd Arif (25), from Ramanthapur in Hyderabad. All three were air-conditioner technicians. According to the police, the incident occurred when the trio was proceeding on the bike driven by Salman from Pittampally to Hyderabad.
When they reached near Dharmojiguda village near Choutuppal, the driver of a loaded truck at a weigh bridge, negligently reversed the vehicle. Salman saw the truck too late and crashed into it. They fell on the road and died on the spot, police said.
The Choutuppal police booked a case of negligence causing death and are investigating. Efforts are on to identify and nab the truck driver.
