Hyderabad: Three persons were killed in separate road accidents in the city.

At Madhapur, a woman Jennifer Maria Dcruz, (24), a resident of Neredmet in Secunderabad died after being hit by a car. She was going along with one T Ajay on a motorcycle when a car rammed into them while they stopped at a traffic junction at Madhapur.

“Ajay and Maria had fallen down from the motorcycle. Maria sustained serious head injuries and was rushed to a hospital where doctors pronounced her dead,” said Madhapur Sub Inspector, Y Sukender Reddy. Ajay is undergoing treatment at the hospital. The police registered a case against the driver of the car and took him into custody.

In another case, a driver and a cleaner who sustained injuries in a road accident at Narsingi on Friday passed away while undergoing treatment early on Sunday. The victims Guruprasad (24) and Manjunath (22) were natives of Karnataka.

According to the police, early on Friday, Guruprasad along with Manjunath started in an Ashok Leyland lorry for Nizamabad.

“At Kokatpet ORR exit point Guruprasad rammed his vehicle into a DCM van stationed at the ORR exit point. Both of them were rushed to Osmania General Hospital where they died while undergoing treatment early on Sunday,” said the Narsingi police. A case is registered.
