Three of a family die as car rams tree in Kothagudem

A couple and their young son were killed, while an elderly woman sustained serious injuries, when their car lost control and hit a tree in Mulakalapalli mandal of Kothagudem district.

Kothagudem: A couple and their son died while an elderly woman suffered injuries in a road accident in the forest area between Pusugudem and Madaram in Mulakalapalli mandal in the district on Sunday.

According to the local Sub-Inspector (SI), Madhu Prasad, the couple belonging to Bhadrachalam’s Venkateswara Colony had visited their relatives’ house to attend a family function at Mulakalapalli. While returning home, the car in which they were travelling went out of control and crashed into a roadside tree.

Dudala Sai Prakash, his wife Sandhya and their son Mokshith died on the spot while Sai Kumar’s mother Jyothi suffered serious injuries. Jyothi’s condition was said to be critical and she was shifted to Government Hospital at Paloncha.

Police registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
