Peddapalli: Three persons of a family including a three months old girl died in a road accident that took place at Ganganagar of Godavarikhani on Monday night.
The incident occurred when a lorry fell on an autorickshaw in which the victims were traveling. The truck collided with another lorry at Ganganagar fly over bridge on Rajiv Rahadari.
According to police, while an ash-laden lorry was moving down from the fly-over bridge, a coal laden lorry taking U turn at the spot after filling fuel nearby petrol bunk. Both the lorries collided and one of the lorries fell on the autorikshaw which was passing by.
SK Shakeel (30), his wife Reshma Begam (28) and daughter Sadiya Umra (3 months) died instantly.
Residents of Mubaraknagar of Ramagundam, the victims were proceeding to Indaram of Mancherial district to attend a marriage function. A total of seven members of a family were traveling in autorikshaw at the time of incident. Bodies were shifted to Godavarikhani area hospital for postmortem.
