Jangaon: Three members of a family were killed when the car in which they were travelling in rammed a mini-truck following a tyre bust near Vanaparthy village of Lingala Ganapuram in the district on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Ginna Shekar Reddy (65), a businessman; his wife Dhanlakshmi (60) and their son Raghuma Reddy (27). They were residents of Serilingampally near Hyderabad. While Shekar Reddy and his family members died on the spot, the driver of the mini-truck that was carrying three buffaloes from Tummalagudem village to Jangaon town, suffered injuries. The injured was shifted to Jangaon government area hospital.
Shekar Reddy’s family was proceeding to Tirumalagiri to attend funeral rites of his brother-in-law when the accident took place, said Lingala Ghanapuram SI Ch Raghupathi. The bodies were shifted to Jangaon area hospital for postmortem and a case was registered.
