Hyderabad: Three members of a family died, allegedly by suicide, at their residence in Chandrakapuram in Hussaini Alam of the old city here on Friday. Financial problems are suspected to have led to the suicide, police said.

The victims were identified as K Madhusudan Rao, 38, his elder sister K Premalatha, 40 and brother K Sandeep, 34, all private employees. None of them were married. Police said they were depressed over financial issues and other family problems. The bodies have been shifted to the Osmania General Hospital for autopsy.

Senior police officers visited the crime spot and said preliminary investigation suggested that the three were depressed over financial problems and resorted to the extreme step.
“We are probing other possible angles as well,” a senior official said, adding that the Hussaini Alam police had booked a case and were investigating.
