Hyderabad: In a boost to the party cadre in Huzurabad constituency, three sarpanches from Illanthakunta mandal joined the BRS in Hyderabad on Monday. BRS working president KT Rama Rao inducted the three sarpanches and their followers into the party at his Nandinagar residence.
Sarpanches Kumar of Sirisede, Rajesh of Vantadupula and Srinivas of Tekurthi joined the BRS in the presence of Rama Rao, Huzurabad MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy and former Minister Gangula Kamalakar.
The sarpanches said the development and welfare initiatives undertaken under former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao continued to remain in people’s memory. They alleged that both the Congress and the BJP had failed to fulfil their election promises and address public issues. They said dissatisfaction with both parties was growing at the grassroots and more leaders and public representatives were likely to join the BRS in the coming days.
Former SC Corporation chairman Banda Srinivas and former MPP Venkatesh were present on the occasion.
